SysPrep Vmware converter
1. download the sysprep for the respectively OS
2. run vmware converter, take note of the sysprep directory
3. extract the content of *.cab to the sysprep directory
4. run setupmgr.exe to generate the configuration template
5. run vmware converter, ensure generate new sid is checked
6. run the vmware image
7. perform a login, attempt to activate windows on internet(should see sysprep dialog)
8. perform a system restart
Somehow things did not work well. Windows refuses to accept my keys.
And I hit the following site.
http://surana.wordpress.com/2008/11/04/windows-activation-problem/
It directed to the following microsoft site to reset the key.
